Partnering with the wellness retreat in 2018, Alley Crops expanded 12 large raised beds, introduced a compost-tea soil fertility spray program, and planted a perennial fruit and nut garden, along with five mature fruit trees. Alley Crops maintained the property’s vegetable gardens, its orchard space and annual spray program for several years.

In 2019, Alley Crops constructed a functional and attractive pathway behind the popular natural food store and cafe—introducing medicinal and native plants in this urban setting.

We have completed a variety of projects at private homes across the East End. From large private greenhouse operations—producing food year round—to small and ornamental medicinal herb gardens.

At this private residence, Alley Crops constructed and maintained a greenhouse and introduced a hive of honeybees, housing the hive according to the principles of biodynamics. The greenhouse included a high tunnel exhaust fan, custom doors, and produced perennials, biennials and annuals.
